The RAGE Component Set has been meticulously engineered to create a striking impression from the outset. Offered in both 2-way and 3-way configurations, it caters to both budget-conscious consumers and those who prioritize superior sound quality. The 3-way configuration incorporates a 3.2″ midrange driver, finely tuned to seamlessly integrate the frequencies between the 6.5″ midwoofer and the 1.6″ tweeter. This setup can operate in an active mode without a 3-way crossover, delivering an unparalleled audiophile experience. Alternatively, the included 3-way crossover can be employed, which simplifies the amplification to just 2 outputs.

The 2-way system features a compact yet versatile crossover, designed with a 3.5 kHz crossover point and a 12 dB per octave slope. Furthermore, it includes a 3-step tweeter attenuation feature to adjust the tweeter output according to user preferences. The silk dome of the tweeter provides a smooth and natural frequency response that extends to 25 kHz, maintaining near linearity from 2.5 kHz to 25 kHz. The machined housing with polished edges enhances its premium aesthetic.
An aluminum basket with effective voice coil cooling was selected for the RAGE61. The aesthetic enhancements, such as the polished edges on the magnet cap and the precisely machined edges of the basket, contribute to the overall performance. The composite cones improve sensitivity while ensuring stability over prolonged use. Consequently, audio reproduction appears more natural, avoiding excessive coloration, often described as either cold or warm. With a frequency range extending to 5.5 kHz before a decline, there is sufficient headroom for optimal pairing and balance between the woofer and tweeter.

The RAGE61, available in a three-way passive configuration known as the RAGE63, represents a significant advancement in the audio frequency response. This configuration replaces the standard two-way crossover with a three-way crossover. The crossover points are set at 400 Hz and 4000 Hz, creating an effective bandpass from 400 Hz to 4000 Hz, optimized for the midrange.
The midrange resonance frequency is precisely an octave below the lower crossover point, extending its response up to an impressive 10 kHz. The shallow mount 3.2" frame ensures flexible installation options, while its compact size enhances the audio reproduction capabilities of the coated paper cone.
For optimal performance, the RAGE63 is ideally used in an active configuration with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP). However, even with passive components, it delivers excellent sound quality, making it a cost-effective yet high-performance choice.
